In 1966 when I was 10 years old, my parents and four siblings moved from Victoria BC to Montreal. We travelled across the country by bus! When we arrived at Thunder Bay, my mother took the three older kids (as the bus stop for a break) across multiple railway tracks to dip our fingers into Lake superior. I will always remember what she said, “ You have now touched all the Great Lakes”
